Introduction

Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. (16) You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? (17) Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. (18) A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. (19) Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. PERSECUTIONS CANNOT CHAIN THE GOSPEL
Philippians 1:12-14


There are three points why persecutions cannot chain the gospel of god:
I. CHRISTIANS CAN ENDURE PERSECUTIONS
II PERSECUTIONS ARE MADE TO SHOW THE GLORY OF CHRIST THROUGH US
III. THE WORD OF GOD TEACHES US THAT PERSECUTION ITSELF MAKES US STRONG AND CONFIDENT TO THE LORD


I. CHRISTIANS CAN ENDURE PERSECUTIONS
Philippians 1:12-14 (V.12)


A. True commitment endures for Christ - Because it doesn't matter for a committed servant whatever happens to him but what matters is what can he do for his Master.
B. A heart of a believer can face everything - Paul was not thinking if he escape nor flee but to strengthen himself under judgment and fight the fear deep inside for the gospel.
C. We can pass the test if we stand for our faith and for the gospel - God let the trials came into our lives to test us and make us strong for this way we will grow,(v.27).

II PERSECUTIONS ARE MADE TO SHOW THE GLORY OF CHRIST THROUGH US
Philippians 1:12-14 (V.13)

A. We endure not just for ourselves but for Christ - Sometimes we boast that we are mature enough because we have passed some trials in life but we forgot that it was for Christ.
B. Do not be shocked or thought that persecutions are new to us but a natural thing to every believer - All we need is to be alert all the time because persecutions are everywhere and every time.

III. THE WORD OF GOD TEACHES US THAT PERSECUTION ITSELF MAKES US STRONG AND CONFIDENT TO THE LORD
Philippians 1:12-14 (V.14)

A. encourages us to tell others about Christ - This one helps our zeal and commitment to the Lord become active and alive.
B. Makes us courageous - Persecution itself teaches us to stand of what believe that Jesus Christ is the “ Savior ”.
C. Makes us fearless - Means not afraid of everything or frightened by the opponents or what will happen to us.

Application

Brothers and sisters in Christ, do not be afraid when you are persecuted, weaken when mocked and ashamed of what we have. Be strong to face every situations in life for  the glory of Christ and our great joy to serve Him.

Be thankful to God for he always bless us all the time.
